In 2020, we have kept the system energy density of power batteries and other technical indicators unchanged, and moderately improved the energy consumption of NEVs and the purely electric driving range threshold of pure electric passenger cars.
The range of NEVs of different types is increasing year by year. From 2018 to 2020, the range of new energy passenger cars increased from 215 to 300.3 km, that of new energy buses increased from 258.6 to 400.6 km, and that of new energy logistics vehicles increased from 243.3 to 287.6 km, and among them, the range of BEVs increases faster.
Passenger EV sales jumped from 450,000 in 2015 to 2.1 million in 2019. They will drop in 2020 before continuing to rise as battery prices fall, energy density improves, more charging infrastructure is built, and sales spread to new markets. The electric share of total vehicle sales is still small, but it is rising fast.
